Alfred St Blackburn was a demolish and new build for an investment fund developer, working closely with their future tenant Urban Climb for a highly tailored rental facility. Urban Climb engaged Long Contracting separately on a separate contract for their integrated fit out. The project required a very tight integration of all structure, services, and site coordination for the install of specialised rock-climbing
structure – including the first Olympic Grade Speed Climbing Wall in the Southern Hemisphere.
The height of the building proved the project was not a conventional steel-clad warehouse, with challenges on site set up, building methodology, and programming. This was compounded with engineering issues, resulted with Long Contracting working closely with both clients, consultants, and contractor to resolve smoothly.
