Wooden Boat Shop, Sorrento 

 

Long Contracting were awarded the contract to develop the 13m high precast warehouse and subsequent infrastructure including carparks, rear bathroom and custom steel racking beams to safely store and house boats. Post tension slab was implemented to allow for the large load from the forklift moving large wooden boats into the steel racking beams.

The warehouse with a 1300m2 floorspace extends beyond structurally to include architecturally distinctive features such as 1600 individual laser-cut Corten steel discs that have been individually installed on custom wire frames. The warehouse is surrounded by 800m2 of interlocking paving offering a seamless pathway that connects various outdoor spaces and ensures durability.

Long Contracting successfully worked closely with the client to deliver the project on time and to suit their specific requirements and deliver outcomes to trades for execution.

Lanky Farmhouse, Boorolite









Situated in central Victoria at the base of Mt Buller snow fields and Lake Eildon on approx. 60 hectares sits Lanky Farmhouse. Long Contracting were engaged by a Melbourne client to build this outstanding architecturally designed residence. With a 45 degree pitched roof line, Hotham stone and Shou Sugi Ban façade and a sculpturally designed garden, you will find a heated pool and spa nestled close to the house.

Inside, the residence exudes tranquility with Antique Calcetta Limestone flooring laid throughout and a gourmet kitchen which is equipped with Sub Zero and Wolf Appliances. The main living and retreat spaces feature Cheminees Philippe Radiante Wood Heater sitting on concrete plinths. When in the master bedroom you can relax in the cedar bath which provides captivating views and a serene ambiance. A separate wing has been created for guests accommodating 3 bedrooms with ensuites.
This energy efficient home features double glazed windows, zoned ducted reverse cycle air conditioning and an integrated control automation system. This house truly represents luxury in a rural presence.

Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club

 

Royal Brighton Yacht Club

The Royal Bright Yacht Club renovation project is a significant transformation to the club’s entrance area, demolishing an aging landscape and building face for a new modern drive though porte cochere and facade, improving the building’s functionality and appeal.

Point Nepean Road, Portsea




Long Contracting were awarded the contract to demolish the existing structure and construct the 475m2 high-end architecturally designed home with 722m2 garden. Situated on the cliffs with large cantilevered balcony to take in the great views over iconic Portsea pier and Port Phillip Bay to the city skyline.
Key focal points include bespoke joinery, European windows, timber flooring throughout the first-floor kitchen and living with mirrored timber floorboards installed to ceiling as well as Neolith Stone Slabs installed throughout the ground floor and surrounding a centrally located infinity pond.
The home will feature 385m2 internal and external cedar timber battens stained in a carefully selected bespoke product to add distinct contrast to the home against the blue backdrop of the ocean.

London Bridge Rd, Portsea









The project included a spacious floor area of 390 square meters and the external clad with 320m2 of Blackbutt timber sourced locally. Internal living area features polished concrete floors with hydronic heating, tall cathedral ceiling clad in VJ panelling and 15m2 of meticulously crafted Hotham stone clad fireplace. Large glass sliding north facing doors open to the outdoor living integrated with thoughtfully crafted decking and Vergola automated roof system overlooking the heated pool and landscape.

Juliet’s Terrace Projects – Liverpool St


 

The Liverpool Street project is an ambitious luxury bar strategically located within the CBD, boasting a striking architectural design featuring a Kraus brick tiled façade and tall curved arched doorways with steel doors and windows.   The project includes a two-level basement with two lifts to optimise functionality and efficiency. Basement 2 includes a spacious store room, dedicated keg room and cool room ensuring the seamless storage and management of supplies and inventory while basement 1 houses the amenities for staff and patrons. The ground floor features a crafted bar and lounges with a 5.5metre high ceiling and an operable glass roof to allow for natural light during the day and offering stunning views of the night sky and fresh air.

The Bourke Street project is one of the oldest commercial buildings in Melbourne CBD dated back to 1848.

It is a Class 1 heritage building involving restoration works and a refurbishment preserving its heritage while introducing a private club featuring a restaurant, private dining & lounges, and a courtyard at the rear with an operable glass roof.

The project is being conducted in close collaboration with architects and Heritage Victoria to ensure the preservation of its historical integrity. The design scheme blends historic charm with contemporary luxury.

Glenferrie Rd, Kooyong









 

The Glenferrie Road project is set on over 2200m2. This generational home, originally built in 1909 was meticulously renovated and extended to create the perfect family home. The front heritage portion of the house was maintained, boasting original pressed metal ceilings a tuckpointed brick façade and modern steel windows throughout. The rear extension blends effortlessly to the original home which includes 4 bedrooms, expansive living, dining and kitchen area. Externally there is extensive Lisa Ellis designed landscaped oasis which includes a tennis court, pool and vast landscaped zones for the whole family to enjoy.

BMW Waverley

2024, Long Contracting were engaged to undertake a full internal renovation and installation of a new 8m high feature façade at BMW Waverley. The works include new concrete overlay floors throughout, feature ceilings, lighting and power upgrades, and major external civils and landscaping works.

The renovation will be undertaken in 2 stages to ensure BMW are able to continue to operate both the service and sales areas for the duration of the project.

Blair Court, Portsea









Long Contracting were contracted to renovate the existing home and build the extension to the Master Bedroom. Works included all new floor to ceiling aluminium windows throughout that open up to impressive timber veranda allowing you to enter the stunning landscape. Details included engineered timber flooring with hydronic heating and striking bagged render to the external walls combined with the distinctive Enseam steel roofing that highlights the striking linear aesthetic.
Refurbishment to the existing tennis court and plumbing extended to the rear landscape to allow for outdoor pizza oven, herb garden, stone bath and copper shower are some of the key external elements that bring the build together to create a relaxing home environment.
